Positioning Express for a Successful Future

Express has received a letter of intent from one of our key strategic partners, WHP Global, together with Simon Property Group and Brookfield Properties, that contemplates an acquisition of a substantial majority of our retail stores and operations. To facilitate this sale process, Express has initiated voluntary court-supervised Chapter 11 proceedings.

The proposed transaction will provide Express with additional financial resources, better position the business for profitable growth and maximize value for the Company’s stakeholders.

Express and our brands are serving customers without interruption

EXPRESS retail stores, EXPRESS factory outlets, Bonobos Guideshops and UpWest stores are open per their usual hours
All online channels, including Express.com, Bonobos.com and UpWest.com, along with all brand apps, are accepting orders
All of our brands are fulfilling orders and processing returns; merchandise return policies remain the same
Gift cards and store credits are currently being redeemed in-store at operating store locations, with the exception of stores the Company has announced it will close as part of this process
Bonobos is continuing to serve its premium wholesale customers
Customer benefits related to the EXPRESS Insider program remain the same
